How to set up your Beach Umbrella

How to anchor and tilt your umbrella so you can shelter in style and have better beach days.

About 5 minutes

  1. Find your spot and take the umbrella out of its carry bag.
  2. Loosen the tilt hinge.
  3. Straighten the pole and tighten the hinge again.
  4. Twist the sand screw deep into the sand until the pole stands firm.
  5. Lift the canopy and lock it in place.
  6. Hang your bag or towel on the accessory hook.

Twist the screw into firm, damp sand where you can, and keep the canopy low and tilted into the breeze. No portable umbrella is storm-proof: close it in strong wind and don't leave it up unattended.

Follow the steps to set up your Beach Cabana for a day in the shade.

About 2 minutes with practice

  1. Take the carry bag out of the box and unpack the base pole and canopy.
  2. Screw the base pole into the sand until it's completely stable.
  3. Place the canopy on top of the base pole.
  4. Lift the canopy and lock it in place.
  5. Anchor each leg by filling its sandbag with sand.
